Dr. Louise Bennett completed undergraduate and post-graduate studies at the University of Melbourne before undertaking PhD studies at Monash University in Australia, and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute.
Louise is currently a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO, Agriculture and Food business unit based in Werribee, Australia, with over 20 years’ experience in bio-functional food research. She is a trans-disciplinary scientist working across all types of (food) chemistry to clinical research.
Louise’s current research foci include manipulation of macro-and micronutrients using food processing to yield advances in functionality for benefiting human nutrition and health. Key innovations under development are based on milk and whey proteins. Louise has authored >60 publications and is a co-inventor of 1 patent.
