Sandra Benson is the Director of Market Access and Regulatory Affairs at the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC). With USDEC’s foreign offices, Sandra monitors for potential regulatory issues impacting the global trade of dairy products and collaborates with U.S. government agencies to resolve barriers to trade.

For the past 15 years, Sandra has overseen USDEC’s Export Guide, a trade reference manual that includes tariffs, import requirements, compositional standards and labeling requirements for countries worldwide. She is a licensed customs broker, and assists USDEC members with various transactional issues related to their exports.

Sandra received her master’s degree in International Trade and Investment Policy from The George Washington University and bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish from Miami University. Sandra lives in northern Virginia with her husband Eric.
