Dr. Ryan Dilger is an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus where he studies the interaction of nutrition, immunology, and neuroscience.

He received his B.S and M.S degrees at Purdue University, and completed his Ph.D. and post-doctoral training at the University of Illinois. Overall, his research projects can be broadly categorized into two areas: 1) practical nutrition and health issues facing production animal agriculture, and 2) fundamental nutrition and developmental questions studied using the pig as a translational model to improve human health and well-being.

Dr. Dilger has published 67 peer-reviewed articles and generated over $10 million in research funding since starting on faculty in 2010.
