"Evolution of Demand Drivers for Dairy Proteins and Whey"

Dr. Martinas Kuslys is the Global R&D Manager for the Paediatric Care Category at NestléHealthScience.

Since 2014, Martinas Kuslys has been focusing on the food allergy pipeline of NestléHealthScience. This function drives internal and external innovation in the area of food allergy and is a turntable of information and expertise between life sciences, technology and business.

He joined Nestlé in 1989 as analytical lab manager. Fascinated by food technology, he simulated production processes in small-scale, e.g. the enzymatic hydrolysis of whey proteins. Moving to product development, he developed and industrialized products for infant nutrition, dairy business as well as products for medical nutrition.

In 2004, he was appointed as Head of the Baby Food Department at the Product Technology Center Singen, Germany. Leading the development of products with a multitude of food technology processes and a broad range of agricultural raw materials, from milk to apples, and was essential for his current position within the NestléHealthScience organization.

He is a co-inventor of more than 20 patent applications. He is a member of the Swiss Society of Food Science and Technology as well as the EAACI’s Task Force “Recommendations on products for cow’s milk allergic children (Food Allergy Implementation)”.
