"Whey Beyond Protein: New Opportunities for Whey Products in Sports Nutrition"

Dr Wallis is based in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham in the UK. He is an Exercise Scientist with major research interests in Nutrition and Metabolism.

He has worked across several sectors including in high performance sport, the food and drink industry and academia.  He draws on these diverse experiences to help shape and bring context to his research program. His main goal of his research is to better understand how nutrition can be manipulated to enhance metabolic or adaptive responses to exercise, with a particular focus on macronutrients and their roles in performance, training adaptation and health.
